The Story ~

When Melina’s editor, Wyatt Jaxon, calls to ask a favor, she never imagines in her wildest dreams what Wyatt asks her to do for her publishing company. Wyatt wants her to help a fellow author get his handwritten notes onto a computer and set up his internet email and procedures. Melina has 18 published books through Wyatt and is in a writing lull right now. Tired of staring at a blank page, Melina agrees. After all, she’s familiar with Perry County having lived in Dauphin County outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, all her life. She’s following her dream to write and be independent of her family.
Hunter Brantley is a Game Warden who just had his first manuscript published and has two more handwritten manuscripts that need put on his new computer. Hunter hand writes or dictates his stories. His first novel, MURDER ON THE MOUNTAIN, has been on the best seller list and the publishing company is most anxious for his second and third novels to be ready for print. His next two are entitled, PERRY COUNTY POACHERS and THE POACHER VIGILANTE. However, he’s kept busy with his job and not anxious to sit at a computer inside all day.
Melina agrees to a meeting with Hunter and signs a contract to assist with his computer entry. He lives in a cabin outside of Blain on the mountain. She’s rather taken with this charming man. Wyatt gives her a copy of the first print of Murder on the Mountain, and she likes his writing style. She loads up her Jeep and moves to his cabin in Blain.
Melina settles into his second bedroom. He shows her his office with his new computer, printer and internet router. Hunter now has a large satellite dish on his roof for his internet. He is headed out for a four-day stint in country the next day, so she has about 5 hours of his time until he leaves. After meeting his current girlfriend, Vera, she opts to avoid her as often as possible.
Hunter’s dream is being a Conservation Officer in Washington State, and he finally gets the call to go to Washington. He’s in love with Melina, and they prefer a married over a single man, so they plan to wed after they get settled. Fate has other ideas for the young couple. They witness an accident and become foster parents to an infant girl. Melinda gives Hunter a son. Hunter gets to build his mountain cabin for his growing family. However, there are evil men poaching on the mountain who plan to eliminate this Conservation Officer. Will Fate take Melina’s life away from her? You will have to read HER WRITING WARDEN to find out.
